Clean and Toxic Free

My friend who is a fellow blogger TreeHuggerBarbie highlighted this baby product/service. I loved it so much I wanted to give her blog props and show remember it too!  This is a delivery service for diapers and products that are toxic and chemical free! Plus the diapers come in really cool patterns.

Healthy Child Healthy World -- Join the Movement

My husband and I started years ago changing how we lived our life. Grass Fed meats, little processed food, organic, healthy and simple. It can be expensive but it is important. We eat less, we consume less and we re-use. We will soon be bringing our son home from Korea and it is even more important to protect him from toxic chemicals and everything bad. I came upon this movement recently and wanted to share it. It is motivating and true.

Be a friend. I have always said that change happens with each of us. It is how we shop, what we do and how we do it that makes the difference.

Productive Parenting

Being sick sucks but it does give me a lot of time to sit around and search stuff. While I feel very fortunate to have a job where I can work from home, I think I over did it a little today.; 10 hours clocked in on the stomach flu! I am exhausted. While I wait for Jeremy to bring me some new cartoons to watch (that is what I like to do when I am sick) I have been Pinteresting. I found this great website:

Could Flying be the new Labor?

Adoption is such a crazy process to go through and unless you have been through it you have no idea the roller coaster that you go through. However, there is this part of you as a woman that feels left out of the woman circle not having the labor experience. Well, I have discovered my labor experience, it will be the flight home from Korea with Cy.  I have had heard from people often that the flight is the longest 12 to 14 hours that you will ever have in your life. I am prepared for the worst and expecting the best.

I am so excited to meet his foster mother and hope that we are able to get her name so Cy can go back someday and meet her in person. As our time comes closer, hopefully less then 3 months away, I am getting nervous and excited about being a mother. I have to say I am so fortunate to have such an amazing support group of friends and family that are so excited to meet Cy and be part of his life! I truly feel blessed.

Right now I am just so busy thinking about packing my bag and making sure we are house ready.

Here is what I have Jeremy and I scheduled to bring when we get the call and leave on a jet plane:

  • Prepare a diaper bag with a change of clothing, fresh diapers, several bottles (I heard they will give you a few bottles) and fresh bibs.
  • For Clothing (since we are going in the winter) A winter coat, gloves, hat, 2 pairs of footsie pj's and a super cute outfit. I figure I want him as comfortable and warm.
  • Schedule a visit with your pediatrician within a few days of the baby's arrival
  • My mother got me an Ergo Carrier which is what we will use instead of a stroller.
  • Calling our health insurance provider to get Cy child on the plan pronto -- ideally he/she should have coverage the scheduled day of travel.
  • Make sure to bring your camera and/or camcorder!

Wall Decor for Cy's Room

This weekend I did a little shopping. I finally purchased something for his wall.  I am not really going with any theme, just color. His room colors are blue, green, brown and white. I figure if I stick within those, I can put up anything.

I got this animal letter picture at Pottery barn Kids that says Explore in a white frame. Here is an image similar. What was great is that I got it on SALE!!!  My bestie Adrienne also gave me a beautiful picture (in a white frame) of the sunset in Santorini, Greece and I am going to put that above Cy's crib. I like the idea of photography maybe around his room. Pictures of far away places, etc. I am thankful my friend Adrienne is so good with photography that I am going to ask her to help me with some of that picture detail.

So, the designing process has begun!  I am so excited. Once I have all the furniture purchased and put in I will then decorate the walls and post pictures!

Peace and Love
